Competitive-Hobby Swim Groups
There are three different levels of competition hobby groups: 8-10 years, 11-14 years and 15-18 years
The competition hobby group offers a regular and versatile swimming hobby to children/youths interested in competitive swimming. The aim of the training is to further develop water skills, practice different swimming techniques and improve swimming endurance. In the oldest competition hobby group, a lot of distance swimming is also done in the form of various swimming programs.
Starting level requirements
Competition hobby group 8-10 years
Must be able to swim at least 100 meters continuously, of which at least 25 meters of backstroke and 25 meters of freestyle with proper technique.
The goal is to build a foundation in the basic swimming techniques, which is required to participate in a competition level. The group gets to know the world of competitive swimming by participating in swimming competitions organized by the club.
Competition hobby group 11-14 years old
Must be able to swim at least 400 meters continuously and master the different swimming techniques (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle). It is recommended that the child has practiced swimming before, as there is a lot of swimming in the group.
The goal is to build a foundation in the basic swimming techniques, which is required to participate in a competition level. The group gets to know the world of competitive swimming by participating in swimming competitions organized by the club.
Competition hobby group 15-18 years old
Must be able to swim at least 800 meters continuously and master the different swimming techniques (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle). It is recommended that the youth has practiced swimming before, as there is a lot of swimming in the group.
The goal is to further develop water skills, hone the techniques of different swimming techniques and improve swimming endurance. It is possible for group members to participate in swimming competitions organized by the club.
All the groups practice 3 times a week.
